My name is Amber C. Williamson and I am your Cyberang Subject Matter Expert. Cyberang is an analogy for Cybersecurity Boomerang. My goal is to ensure your organizational needs are met and can bounce back and become resilient.
My professional background is unorthodox. As a child, a family member wanted me to embark in computers. To my dismay, I rebelled against the idea and attended a computer science magnet school. Nevertheless, I had the refurbished Texas Instrument Computer, Atari, Speak and Math Say, Tiger Entertainment gaming console, Nintendo Classic and Gameboy, and Sega Genesis. I was fixated on playing video games, never thought I would but the concept came together when relating to Computer Science. I did not have the latest computer; instead, I had a word processor. I’ve had formal computing training from elementary school through college coupled with experience in Apple, IBM, and Windows related computers. Because of my formal education, it led to the development of a passion for technology, specifically Cybersecurity. Technology is both a blessing and a curse, however, this is what I love to do!
My educational background consists of two Bachelor of Science Degrees and two Master of Science Degrees. Currently, I am working on my certifications and pursuing a DSc in Cybersecurity. I have been a motivational and industry related blogger since July 2011. I have over 20 years of official experience; however, I have been doing this since childhood.
